CSE is an economics and personal finance curriculum aimed at non-economics majors.

Teaching responsibilities:

Co-instructor with Dr. James Gwartney for FSU’s Principles of Micro and Principles of Macro seated classes (both regular and Honors sections).

Instructor for the online CSE 1000 (CSE for Life) Educators course. This course teaches high school/college educators how to promote basic economic and personal finance literacy.

Instructor for the online CSE 1000 Homeschoolers course.

Outside of teaching, duties include:

Collaborate with Dr. James Gwartney to coordinate program initiatives and projects. Role includes but is not limited to teaching, marketing, course development and curriculum design (for CSE 1000, 1001, and 1002), data collection and record keeping, correspondence with CSE adopters, managing social media, manuscript research and content provider for Common Sense Economics (3rd edition) textbook, and course building in online course learning management systems.

Founder of a social enterprise that is seeking to open chapters at universities across the nation. SAM provides a patriotic forum for students to come together and demonstrate their support for our nation’s military members. All branches of the military, past and present, are honored by SAM.

Founder and Director of the First Annual 2LT Justin Sisson 5K, honoring a member of SAM who was KIA. The first 5K had 549 registered runners, over 40 corporate sponsors, more than 140 individual/family sponsors, and raised a net of over $15,000 for the new Justin Sisson Outstanding Cadet Award – a scholarship foundation in his honor that is awarded to FSU Army ROTC cadets. In 2014, Students for America’s Military, Inc. was bestowed membership into FSU’s Presidents Club as well as the Robert Strozier Society, for its donation to The Justin Sisson Outstanding Cadet Award fund within the FSU Foundation.
